Right in the thick of an unforgettable Liverpool team, Alan Kennedy won pretty much everything whilst on Merseyside as Liverpool threatened to dominate European football for a large period of time. Kennedy arrived at Anfield in 1978, following a move from Newcastle United, and within his first full season with the Reds, he already had a Division One medal in his locker. And the league titles didn’t stop there for the left-back as Liverpool and Kennedy won the title for four of the five following seasons. Liverpool weren’t about to stop there either, as they were aiming to conquer Europe next, and that they did. Kennedy got his hands on two European Cups during his eight year spell at the club, the first coming in 1981, where Kennedy scored the winner against Real Madrid in Paris. And the second came three years later, as Liverpool saw off Roma on penalties, with Kennedy again having the last word with the winning penalty.
